Quick download

A small Tono executable. On first use, it downloads and sets up the matching audio tools, Python runtime and models automatically. Internet is needed for that first setup.

Offline bundle

One ZIP with Tono and everything it needs. Extract the whole ZIP into one folder and keep its files together. No separate Python or FFmpeg installation needed.

Why is the offline bundle around 932 MiB?

It includes the music models, Python, PyTorch, other audio libraries and FFmpeg. Tono itself is about 10 MiB. The tested Mac Apple Silicon bundle expands to about 1.9 GiB; sizes vary by platform and release.

Start practising

Tono currently runs from a terminal. After downloading and extracting your package, open a terminal in its folder:

./tono song.mp3 --instrument ae01 --tempo-scale 0.75

Use the downloaded executable’s filename in place of tono (or rename it to tono). On Windows, use .\tono.exe. See usage examples for the available options.
