Tono is built with and around open-source software. The projects below remain the work of their respective authors and are governed by their own licenses.
FFmpeg
Use in Tono: audio/video extraction, processing, encoding and muxing.
License: FFmpeg is generally licensed under LGPL v2.1 or later. Builds that enable GPL components may instead be subject to GPL v2 or later.
Demucs
Use in Tono: music source / stem separation.
License: MIT License. Copyright Meta Platforms, Inc. and affiliates.
Basic Pitch
Use in Tono: automatic music transcription / melody note extraction.
License: Apache License 2.0. Copyright Spotify AB.
PANNs Inference
Use in Tono: sound-event / music-region analysis.
License: MIT License.
Additional dependencies
Tono also depends on Rust crates, Python packages, models, codecs, and platform libraries that may have their own notices and license obligations. The exact dependency set can change over time; the repository's lock files and distributed application bundle should be treated as the authoritative dependency inventory for a particular release.
